Penza “Grammar Flashmob” attracted over 100 participants

Penza, 22 February 2015. PenzaNews. Over 100 persons took part in the “Grammar Flashmob” organized at the Kollazh trade center in Penza by the Youth Guard of United Russia on Saturday, February 21, commemorated as the International Mother Language Day.

“Anyone could check his language proficiency in a funny and engaging form: check a text for errors and mistakes, and then identify famous Russian writers and poets by their portraits and quotes at a different location,” Yuria Kazancheeva, press secretary of the regional youth organization branch, explained the campaign to PenzaNews agency.

According to her, all participants of “Grammar Flashmob” took great interest in the initiative.

“For some the mini-quest became the first such exam in their lives, while others had to recall their school Russian Language and Literature lessons. Even though the exercises tasked some participants, many breezed through the questions and received gold, silver and bronze diplomas,” said the speaker.
