He found the address of the city’s Belinsky Central City Public Library online and contacted its director Galina Aseeva.
As a result, a total of 100 books on origami techniques of varying difficulty levels both for adults and children were donated to the city libraries.
“Such gifts are incredibly heartwarming. I am very glad there are still kind people in our uneasy times who are ready to share their knowledge with others and present books with a kind heart,” Galina Aseeva commented, adding that the books will arrive in the nearest future.
“I would like to remind that the Nekrasov library No. 13 hosts a papercraft club where anyone could learn the basics of paper modeling,” noted the director of the Belinsky Central City Public Library.
Dmitry Gonchar became well-known in the origami hobby as a journalist, and is the creator and the leading author of a website “Origami Journal Echo.” He co-authored several art promotion projects for his mother Valentina Gonchar, herself a well-renown master of paper crafts.
Together, the family has published several books on origami.
