Debt recoveries doubled in Penza region

Penza, 27 February 2015. PenzaNews. The number of civil cases on debt recovery under loan agreements has doubled in the Penza region in 2014, said Alexei Shishkin, chairman of the Penza Regional Court, in his report on performance of regional courts during the past year.
“There were 34.8% more cases based on real estate laws, 27.1% more based on pension legislation, 16.8% more caused by traffic accident damages,” he added.
At the same time, according to him, there were 21% fewere cases arising from labor relations, 44.4% less cases caused by consumer protection laws; 47.8% less recoveries stemming from tax law violations, and 3.5% less issues of this kind caused by marriage and family relations.
“The civil case related workload of regional courts grew during the reported period. The area (city) courts of the region completed 32,895 civil cases in 2014, which is 6.7% more than 30,816 cases in 2013. In average, the cases-per-judge load increased by 6.2%, from 17.7 in 2013 to 18.8 in 2014. The judges of Leninsky district court of Penza had the highest workload: at 43.6 cases per judge, it was 2.3 times higher than the regional average,” Alexei Shishkin said.
The civil case workload of magistrates decreased, with the average of 84.8 cases per judge, the Penza Regional Court chairman noted.
“Just like in area courts, the levels vary. The maximum workload, 372.8 cases, was experienced at the magistrate of court No. 7 in the Leninsky district of Penza,” he said.
