Penza, 4 March 2015. PenzaNews. The regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service has initiated a case under the federal law “On competition protection” against the Penza city administration based on materials received from the prosecutor’s office.
“We found that the mayor’s hall was often lenient in publishing information on potential rent of landplots in advance in 2014. In certain cases, statements on providing certain landplots in rent were made on the very day of publishing the materials in print,” the press secretary of the Penza region FAS Marina Goryacheva told PenzaNews agency.
According to her explanation, such actions of the city administration barred several business subjects interested in renting the landplots from competing for it, which (potentially) created unexplained market barriers.
“The case against the Penza city administration is scheduled for review on April 17,” the agency interlocutor clarified.
