Penza, 8 March 2015. PenzaNews. Vasily Bochkarev, governor of the Penza region, has congratulated the women of the region with International Women’s Day celebrated on Sunday, March 8.

“In the modern society, women who are well-educated, gifted with leadership and socially active gain more and more ground. You are equal rivals with men in nearly any sphere of life: in politics and science, economy and entrepreneurship. It is difficult to imagine our lives without selfless work of doctors, teachers, cultural and social workers. And you never fail to succeed,” Vasily Bochkarev remarked.

He expressed particular gratitude to women veterans.

“Just as men, you defended the freedom and independence of the Motherland in the years of war hardships, helped the long-awaited Great Victory approach with your selfless labor, brought up worthy children who are the Fatherland’s true patriots,” the governor stressed.

Vasily Bochkarev wished all women good health, happiness, prosperity and all their best wishes coming true.
