Penza, 13 March 2015. PenzaNews. The officials plan to involve over 1,000 people in the solemn ceremony on Victory Day in Penza on May 9, said Vera Feigina, head of the Department of Culture of the city.

“All state branches and departments are involved in the preparations to the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day. We also formed a working group that prepares weekly reports on the undertaken steps,” she said during the session of the permanent committee on education, healthcare, science, culture and social issues under the City Duma that took place on Thursday, March 12.

In the eve of the honored day, the officials revised the list of heroes related to the Penza region, burial locations, memorial plaques and monuments, Vera Feigina noted.

According to her, now her department is preparing the costumes for the participants of the event, the press service of the city administration reports.
