New poll on Penza administration website asks for opinion on fighting traffic jams

Penza, 19 March 2015. PenzaNews. A new poll published on the official website of the Penza city administration early on Thursday, March 19, is dedicated to possible ways of dealing with traffic jams on city roads.

The poll asks the citizens of the region on their opinion on potential measures against transport blockages.
The website offers six options: development of public commute service; creation of detour roads; creation of new free and paid parking lots; reconstruction and expansion of city streets; separate traffic lanes for public commute transport; education courses for drivers to improve driving etiquette.
In addition, the voters may offer their options in an e-mail to transport-penza@yandex.ru.
During the previous poll, the Penza citizens were asked for their opinion on the soon-to-be-created city commute system. According to the published results, it received votes from 349 citizens.
41.55% of the votes were given for adding more big buses; 14.9% – for keeping the current transportation routes; 35.82% – for developing new trolley bus routes; and over 7.73% of the voters sent over other options.
