Penza pays last respects to regional ex-prosecutor Valery Koshlevsky

Penza, 21 March 2015. PenzaNews. The memorial service for Valery Koshlevsky, ex-prosecutor of the Penza region, was held in the events hall of the extradepartmental security forces building of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs on Saturday, March 21.

Hundreds of Penza citizens came to pay respects to the renown personality. Among the officials on that day were the governor Vasily Bochkarev, the chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly Ivan Belozertsev, the member of the Federal Council Vladimir Yedalov, the chief federal inspector Dmitry Kadenkov, the city head Victor Kuvaytsev, the mayor Yuri Krivov, the head of the regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee Oleg Troshin, the Penza State University princilap Alexander Gulyakov, and many more.

The mourning ceremony gathered together the relatives of Valery Troshin, his colleagues, and citizens of the Penza region who came to know him throughout their lives.

After the ceremony, the funeral procession accompanied by a military orchestra slowly moved along the Nekrasova street and towards the Novo-Zapadnoye cemetery.

Valery Koshlevsky was buried with military honors on the Alley of Glory.

Valery (Demyanovich) Koshlevsky was born in the village of Bondurovo, Gaivoronsky area of the Odessa region in the Ukrainian SSR on February 20, 1952.

In 1977, he graduated from the Saratov D.I. Kurskiy University of Law with a degree in Law Science, and was subsequently taken as an intern to the Nizhny Lomov area public prosecutor’s office.
In the following years, he worked in the prosecutor’s office of the Penza region, held the office of the Kondol area prosecutor, first deputy prosecutor of the Karakalpakian ASSR, prosecutor of the Lunino area, and later the Zheleznodorozhny area of Penza city, and deputy prosecutor of the region.

He held the office of the prosecutor of the Penza region from August 2000 to March 2013.

He was a wearer of the award pin “Distinguished worker of the Russian Federation prosecution area.”

He received the silver medal “For improving the criminal execution system,” the letter and the order of St. Sergiy of Radonezh of the 3rd degree, the letter and the order of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker of the 2nd degree for helping ensure military security of Russia.

In 2012, Valery Koshlevsky received the title of the Distinguished Lawyer of Russia by the order of the Russian President.
He died on March 13, 2015.
