Over 8,600 sq. meters of hole-ridden roads patched in Penza region this year

Penza, 23 March 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza road services have patched potholes on over 8,600 sq. meters of Penza roads since the beginning of 2015, the press service of the city administration informed PenzaNews agency.

The road repair crews are working every day in two shifts, the officials noted.
“From March 16 to March 22, the designated crews worked on patching dents in city roads, cleaned out the curbs, collected garbage, scoured the storm water drains, and did a number of current repairs. The roads were patched using a jet injection technique of cast asphalt, asphalt mix, asphalt chippings, rubble and other materials,” the Penza city administration explained.
According to the press service, the weekend road repair crews worked on Austrina, Izmaylova, Slavy, Tarkhanova, Oktyabrskaya, Gagarina, Baydukova, Pushkina, Bekeshskaya, Obyezdnaya, Gogolya, Mira, Zakharova, Lermontova, Koltsova, Minskaya streets, Stroitelei prospekt, and other locations.
Moreover, the curbs and storm water drains were cleaned and scoured on 25 streets, the officials noted.
“The road crews are also washing road fences and noise screens. Over 8 km of aforementioned installations were cleaned last week,” the city administration reported.
The roads on Druzhby, Klary Tsetkin, Chaadaeva, Saranskaya, Koltsova, Stavskovo, Kuraeva, Revolutsionnaya, Ladozhskaya, Minskaya, Rakhmaninova, Lozitskaya, Pushanina and other streets are scheduled for repairs on Monday, March 23, the press service added.
