First high-speed “Day Express” from Samara to Penza starts on April 26

Penza, 25 March 2015. PenzaNews. The “Daily Express” train, a part of the program on the development of inter-regional rapid transit system, will start off from Samara to Penza on April 26, and in the opposite direction the day after.
“The journey time is 4 hours 40 minutes. Ticket price starts at 440 rubles,” Svetlana Zatuliveter, press secretary of the Penza region Kuybyshevskaya Railroad section, told PenzaNews agency.
She added that the tickets are already available in the train booking offices.
“The train consists of six regional-type cars with seats and one compartment car. Comfortable new-generation train cars made in Russia are equipped with cushioned seats, dry closets, air conditioning systems, audio and video broadcasting, call buttons and water coolers,” the speaker explained.
Svetlana Zatuliveter clarified that “Daily Express” will run daily, departing from Samara at 5.03 pm and from Penza at 6.48 am.
“Four stops are scheduled on the way at Chapaevsk, Syzran, Kuznetsk and Chaadaevka stations. Buses will take passengers to nearby towns that are located further away from the railroad. A necessary agreement has been reached with the Ministry of Transport of the Samara, Ulyanovsk and Penza regions, which the train will pass through,” she said.
