Throughout the day both drivers and pedestrians could see metal structures neatly stacked, but not collected out yet. The drivers tried to park their cars so that not to interfere with the work.
The order to dismantle the barriers on the parking lot on Lenin square within a week was given by Vasily Bochkarev, governor of the Penza region, during the regular meeting in the regional government on Monday, March 23.
He promised that there will be “no special parking for the regional government officials,” and those who have no place to park should travel by bus, trolley bus or on foot.
At the same time, the central city square right in front of the regional government building, still hosts a market for local agricultural producers, and an exhibition fair of Belarusian goods.
