Penza, 31 March 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region has taken the 22nd position in the Winter 2014-2015 all-Russian ecology rating compiled by the civil organization “Green Patrol.”

The list was topped by the Tambov and Belgorod regions and the Chukotsky autonomous okrug.

The top 10 also featured the Republic of Altai, Altai Krai, as well as the Kursk, Ulyanovsk, Tomsk regions, Chuvashiya, and Kabardino-Balkariya.

The bottom three of the list was occupied by the Saratov, Sverdlovsk and Tula regions.

St. Petersburg, as well as the Kaluga and Kirov regions have shown the best growth during Winter 2014-2015, while the Irkutsk region has demonstrated an enormous drop of 11 positions.
