Penza, 31 March 2015. PenzaNews. The “Tarkhany” Penza Lermontov State Museum-Reserve plans to hold a recreation of traditional Russian Easter celebrations on Sunday, April 12.

The event will feature dances and khorovods, a performance of folk group “Tarkhanskiye Posidelki,” as well as various contests and competitions, including the best chastushka constest.

Apart from that, the visitors will be able to engage in other entertainment acts, such as a game of gorodki or lapta, or a traditional egg-rolling ceremony.

The celebrations will begin at 13.00, says the website of the “Tarkhany” State Museum-Reserve.
