Penza, 10 April 2015. PenzaNews. Over 300 thousand trees will be planted in the Penza region within the mass campaign “Green Wave” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The event will be held in all areas of the region on Friday, April 24.

The planting is planned on forest land of 88 hectares. In 58 rural settlements, over 5,000 volunteers of the campaign will set up gardens, parks, fruit orchards and alleys.

The central event will be held in the Akhunsky forestry. It will gather up to 200 people, including members of the government, ministries, representatives of the school forestry, students, civil society organizations and local residents.

In addition, the press service of the regional government informs, the educational institutions of the region will hold thematic meetings, lessons, competitions and tours as part of the All-Russian forest planting day in April and May.
