Penza, 11 April 2015. PenzaNews. The alarm horns of the Penza warning system will be sounded for 3 minutes throughout the city before the start of the all-Russian action “A Moment of Silence” planned for the evening of May 9, Victory Day.

Based on the notes of the campaign workshop held on Friday, April 10, the alarm horns were chosen to attract citizens’ attention to the action that will remind people of the price of victory.

The alarm horns will be followed by the Penza prologue to “A Moment of Silence” from 18.50 to 18.55, while the all-Russian action itself will be held from 18.55 to 19.00.

The officials have chosen the areas for the campaign. These include the city open-air scenes that will host the Victory Day anniversary events: the Fontannaya square, the square by the new Philarmonic Hall, the Denis Davydov square, the Sura river embankment (by the Rostok monument), the Pionerskiy public garden, and the Belinsky and Olimpiiskiy parks. The list of facilities, trading centers and other institutions that will take part in the campaign is still under construction.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, Penza will hold flashmobs between April 25 and May 1 to support “A Moment of Silence.”
