Penza, 14 April 2015. PenzaNews. School students from Penza won awards of the All-Russian Local Lore research works contest “Fatherland” after the finals held in Moscow.

The competition attracted children from 43 Russian regions in the struggle for the best place.

The Penza region was represented by Daniil Borisov from school No. 12 and Anton Alexeev from the multidisciplinary gymnasium No. 4 “Stupeni,” winners of the regional scientific and practical conference of school students who took part in the tourism and local lore movement “Native land.”

Daniil Borisov received an award in “Archeology” section with his work “Armor and weaponry of a Mongolian army warrior based on the Zolotarev city complex materials. A story of reconstruction.”

Anton Alexeev received an award in the “School museums” section for his work “A model of a virtual school museum as modern way of preserving education institutions’ cultural heritage.”

Moreover, says the press service of the Penza region Ministry of Education, the young student has won the video clip contest with his short film “Tarkhany: Familiar places all around.”
