Serdobsk alcohol seller fined 1 million rubles

Penza, 17 April 2015. PenzaNews. LLC “Omega,” was fined 1 million rubles after offering a financial reward to a Serdobsky area police officer for not initiating administrative proceedings on sales of alcoholic beverages to a minor.

“It has been established that the company director’s spouse gave a precinct and juvenile affairs police officer a bribe of 10,000 rubles for not initiating proceedings against the legal entity under Part 2.1, Art. 14.16 of the Administrative Code, titled ‘Violation of regulations of the sale of ethyl alcohol and alcohol containing products’,” Yulia Makarova, regional Senior Assistant Attorney in Media Relations, informed PenzaNews agency.
She added that criminal proceedings were instituted against LLC “Omega” under Part. 1, Art. 19.28 of the Administrative Code, titled “Illegal remuneration on behalf of a legal entity.”
“As a result of the proceedings, the company was fined. The decision has not entered into force yet,” the agency interlocutor said.
