Penza school student among best in “Doodle for Google” contest

Penza, 22 April 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza school student Irina Kanaykina has been placed among the best in the young artists contest “Doodle for Google” in 10-13 years age group.

The jury praised her picture, “A Picnic By the Creek.”

Angelina Sviridova from the Voronezh region has dominated the 14-17 years age category with her work titled “The Nature of a Russian Soul.”

The winner of the overall contest is Ivan Karnaukhov from the Moscow school No. 319 with his drawing “Ashberry Treat.”

“Doodle for Google” is a contest for young artists – Russian school students from 6 up to 17 years old, held by Google in many countries all over the world.

Each picture presents a young artist’s vision of the world around them, based on day-to-day observations, discussions with their parents and friends, advice of their teachers, and information found in books and online.

The theme of the 2015 contest is “I love Russian nature.”

The winning doodle of the contest will feature on the Google.ru webpage on April 24.
