The event is a part of the premier cinema release of the film “The Dawns Here Are Quiet,” a 2015 remake of the Soviet film with the same name that honors the soldiers of the Second World War and commemorates the Great Victory of 1945. A total of ten thousand LED balloons will be released throughout Russia on that day.
The cinema will hold the first viewings before the premiere at 19.10.
The balloons will be released at 21.30, says the “Sovremennik” cinema website.
The film “The Dawns Here Are Quiet” (A Zori Zdes Tikhie) is based on the novel of the same name by Boris Vasilyev.
The story tells about a group of young female anti-aircraft gunners led by Senior Sergeant Vaskov. The group is forced to engage a group of German paratroopers in an unequal combat in May 1942.
The 2015 film is a remake of the 1972 Soviet cult classic.
