Penza journalists to take part in St. Petersburg media forum

Penza, 24 April 2015. PenzaNews. A group of Penza journalists, including Pavel Polosin, PenzaNews editor-in-chief, will take part in the second media forum of independent regional and local media “Truth and Justice” that opens in St. Petersburg on Saturday, April 25.
The four-day event will involve over 350 people: award-winning journalists of the “Truth and Justice” foundation, bloggers, State Duma deputies, heads of relevant ministries and institutions, and heads of state media sources.
The main topics of the media forum are acute regional issues and professional development of independent journalism in Russia.
The first day of the media forum, April 25, will feature an award ceremony.
On Sunday, April 26, the forum will host presentations and workshops of APF projects: “For Honest Procurement,” “For Loaners’ Rights,” “People’s Analysis” center, and the ecology and forest protection center.
On Monday, April 27, the Center of Legal Support for Journalists founded after the first media forum will report on the results of a year’s work and show the map of journalists’ rights violations in the regions.
The Monday schedule will also include a panel discussion on the issues of modern journalism with guest visits of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, Rospechat, Roskomnadzor and other relevant government institutions.
At the same time, a parallel panel discussion will be dedicated to issues of modern international journalism, featuring the foreign reporters.
The final day of the media forum, April 28, will host a plenary meeting, says the APF website.
