Penza activists planted public garden by children’s oncology center wing

Penza, 25 April 2015. PenzaNews. The members of the Civil Union foundation, “No More Rubbish” movement and Rostum Group along with active citizens planted trees at the Penza regional oncology treatment center by the children’s playground area.

Until now, the young patients of the oncology center had to stay under hot sunlight for a long time without any opportunity to hide in the shade, which the new public garden would soon provide, the executive director of Civil Union foundation Oleg Sharipkov told PenzaNews agency.
“We planted pines, maples, limetrees, birches, chestnuts, as well as lilacs, cherries and bird cherries. Cedars from Severodvinsk will arrive on Tuesday,” said the speaker.
He said the oncology center patients welcomed the initiative and watched the activists looking from their windows.
