About 60,000 citizens are expected to be involved in the events.

The upcoming celebrations was one of the main topics of the Counterterrorism Committee and Penza region Operative Board headed by the governor Vasily Bochkarev on Monday, April 27.

“The events will include festive performances, honorary ceremonies for veterans, flower-laying to mass graves of the fallen warriors, memorials and monuments of the military glory. We must again check the objects in each town and maintain the 24-hour order,” said the region head.

The governor also ordered to remove the illegal rubbish dump sites by May 1, says the press service of the regional government.
