Vasily Bochkarev met with ASI, Boston Consulting Group representatives

Penza, 30 April 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev had a job meeting with representatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Russia on Thursday, April 30.

The meeting was mainly dedicated to the cooperation between ASI and the regional government to improve the regional investment climate.

The participants of the discussion noted that the Penza region not only implements the agency-recommended business climate improvement methods, but also acts as an example for other regions in terms of infrastructure made available for the new enterprises.

Vera Adayeva, assistant corporate director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, confirmed that the Penza region has fully integrated its regional investment standard, one of the main ASI projects, in 2014.

In his turn, Vasily Bochkarev told the visitors about the currently active regional programs aimed at educating a generation of proactive and reliable business people.

In particular, he spoke about school industry tourism, regional development centers, and business technology education classes in colleges.

“Penza region has a one-of-a-kind project called ‘Education Through Business.’ From September 1, we will reduce the entry age to allow the 5th class students to enter, contrary to 9th class minimum right now. There are many talented children in the region, and it is the authorities who should help them develop their abilities and nurture worthy citizens who are proactive and able to suggested new ideas for the country’s economy development,” said the head of the region.

They also intend to set up a project to select and quickly educate the socially active citizens, he added.

The authorities plan to involve the best professionals from the country and abroad for this plan, says the press service of the Penza region government.
