Penza region wheelchair users took part in Great Victory’s 70th anniversary city march

Penza, 6 May 2015. PenzaNews. Eleven wheelchair users took part in the march dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory that went from Lunacharskovo street to the Penza Military and Labor Valor Monument on Wednesday, May 6, joining the all-Russian commemorative campaign “Memory Watch.”

A public event was held at the finishing point of the march, where the people were welcomed by Vladimir Kerkhanadzhev, City Veteran Council chairman who took part in the Stalingrad Battle.
“It was a bloody war. To you, sons of the victors, I wish to live happy lives,” he said.
The veteran also wished the people of Russia to live under the peaceful skies and prosper.
The audience also heard the day’s greetings from Yuri Krasnov, City Veteran Council deputy chairman, who wished the wheelchair users sound health and success in their plans.
