Penza, 8 May 2015. PenzaNews. The official award ceremony for the distinguished citizens of the Penza region was held on May 8 in the governor’s house of the Penza Savitsky Picture Gallery.

The event involved scientists, civil officials, industry workers and businessmen.

The governor Vasily Bochkarev awarded the medals “For Service to the Penza region,” honorary emblems “For Charity Work,” and congratulated on awarded titles “Distinguished consumer cooperation worker of the Penza region” and “Distinguished industry worker of the Penza region.”

During his welcoming speech, the head of the region thanked the audience for doing much to the economy, civil and social development of the Penza region.

“These medals are a result of your work, your service to the society. I wish you further successes, sound health and peaceful skies above you,” Vasily Bochkarev said.

In his turn, the awardees thanked the governor for high praise and expressed their intention to continue their labor for the sake of the Penza region, says the press service of the government.
