Children’s crucession held in Penza

Penza, 11 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza church of St. Mitrofan of Voronezh held a children’s procession of the Cross on Sunday, May 10.
The second annual procession was led by the Archbishop Serafim of Penza and Nizhny Lomov.
According to the set tradition, the procession released scores of red balloons in to the sky.
The event was followed by a craft fair of items created by the disabled children with the aim to gather money to help the teenage wheelchair users develop their intellectual and arts capacities.
The holiday in the church was concluded by the play “The Easter Box” prepared by children with disabilities from the diocese center for the disabled children.
The Archbishop Serafim thanked the organizers of the campaign and expressed his gratitude to the teachers and the parents for helping the new generation learn more of the true church.
He wished all a happy Easter and said the belief must be taught in the family, says the press service of the Penza diocese.
