“Chronicles of War” play adaptation to premiere in Penza

Penza, 11 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Roadside Theater (Teatr na Obochine) will be presenting a premiere documentary play “Chronicles of War” at the Penza literary museum on Monday, May 11. Traditionally, it will involve the audience as well.

During the event, both the actors and the viewers of the Roadside Theater play will honor the legacy of their relatives and tell what they know about the Great Patriotic War during the Verbatim theatre performance.
To see the play, each member of the audience must write down the story or an anecdote about his relative who went through the war. Each story must begin with the words: “The Great Patriotic War for me is…”
Moreover, the visitors can also bring photos, personal keepsakes or documents that feature in the story or just have intimate value as being related to the antagonist of their personal tale.
The organizers of the play promise to give every member of the audience three to five minutes to tell how the War affected their families.
The impromptu play will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes with no breaks, and begin at 17.00. The tickets will cost 100 rubles, says the website of the Roadside Theater.
