Penza Olimpiyskaya alley quarantined for anti-tick measures
Penza, 12 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Olimpiyskaya alley of Penza city will undergo a localized acaricide treatment on May 14-16.

“The natural focal infection called Lyme borreliosis is currently on the rise in Penza, with numbers of tick attacks going up within the city itself. The most endangered areas are those located by its edges or by the forest zones. The Olimpiyskaya alley remains one of the main hazard zones,” the press service of the city administration informed PenzaNews agency.
The acaricide treatment will be followed by a quarantine in the forestry areas by Lermontova and Okruzhnaya streets until May 20.
“The citizens will be able to visit the alley freely afterwards,” the press service added.
