Penza, 12 May 2015. PenzaNews. All Penza marshrutkas (shuttle buses) will be equipped with electronic ticket validators throughout this year’s summer, Sergei Simonov, first deputy head of the city administration, told the journalists during a press meeting held on Tuesday, May 12.

“Currently, a ticket validator is designed to be used by a fare collector. We are in the process of designing a modification optimized for a driver,” he said.

The officials are having talks with several electronics companies, Sergei Simonov clarified.

“As soon as we see the drivers are ready to use them and the field tests confirm it, we will be buying them and installing in the marshrutkas. This will be completed in summer,” Penza first vice mayor added.
