First USSR atomic submarine’s commander died in Penza

Penza, 12 May 2015. PenzaNews. Anatoly Zhukov, navy veteran, retired captain I rank who commanded the first Soviet atomic submarine, former chairman of the Penza navy assembly, 84, has died.

The visitation ceremony will be held in the ritual hall of the city clinical emergency hospital from 13.00 to 14.00 of Thursday, May 14.

Anatoly Zhukov will be buried in the Novo-Zapadnoye cemetery.

The Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev, his deputy Victor Rubtsov, regional government chairman Mikhail Kosoy and other officials are sending their condolences to Anatoly Zhukov’s friends and relatives, says the press service of the regional Department of Internal Policy and Mass Communications.
