Penza, 14 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza children’s railway will open its thirtieth summer passenger season on Sunday, May 17.

“The grand meeting dedicated to the opening will take place on the platform at the Pionerskaya railway station at 9.30 am. It will bring together veterans and representatives of the Kuibyshevskaya Railway, students and teachers of the lesser railway,” the press secretary of the Penza region Kuybyshevskaya Railroad segment Svetlana Zatuliveter informed PenzaNews agency.

The first train will start at 10.00, she added.

“Throughout its 30 years, the children’s railway was enjoyed by about 170,000 residents and guests of the city, and about 8,000 teenagers graduated here,” the speaker explained.

According to her, today the railway is comprised of a developed infrastructure of 2.5 kilometers of railway tracks, passenger stations and modern trains and wagons.
