Penza, 16 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza city has completed the list of main events for the celebrations of Russia Day and City Day on June 12.

According to it, the official celebrations will be held on Lenina square.

The day’s festivities will include solemn introduction speeches, performances of the Oktyabr Grishin choir, folk ensembles “Venzelya,” “Zorenka” and “Golosa Rossii,” as well as a concert program, followed by a mixed musical and visual show, all crowned with fireworks.

A brass orchestra is expected to hold a concert in Denis Davydov public garden, while Moskovskaya street will house a children’s art exhibition, a craft fair will unveil in the public garden “Kopilka Poslovits” (The Coin Box of Proverbs), while the visitors of the Fontannaya square will enjoy a musical show for children.

The city officials plan to hold a city-wide graffiti festival on the Sura river embankment, during which the participants will redecorate the riverside retaining wall.

The City Day celebrations will be marked with a raft race, says the press service of the Penza city administration.
