Martial arts festival planned in Penza seminary

Penza, 17 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza seminary will host its second St. George martial arts festival on Sunday, May 17.

The event will begin at 17.00.
“It is organized by archpriest Nikolai Groshev, first provost of the seminary, and priest Alexiy Roy, chairman of the missionary department of the Penza diocese. The honorary guest of the event is Andrei Kochargin, head of Koi No Takinobori Ryu International Karate Union, also known for his self-defense workshops and seminars. He is the author of the books ‘A Bloke with an Axe’ (Мужик с топором), ‘Fireproof Advice’ (Огнеупорные советы), ‘Orthodoxy or Death?’ (Православие или смерть?) and others,” the press service of the Penza diocese informed PenzaNews agency.
The festival will include the skill show of sports teams from many martial arts schools, clubs, organizations and informal unions, as well as cultural events and a field kitchen.
The motto of the festival is “Orthodoxy: Strong Belief of Strong People.”
