Penza, 20 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region section of the Kuybyshevskaya Railroad has finished the preparations for the summer recreation sesason.

“The health resort ‘Chaika’ will open its doors for the first visitors on June 10 this year, and we are working hard to provide comfortable and safe conditions for children. Following the investment plan of ‘RZhD,’ we are conducting capital repairs of the sleeping areas: installing plastic windows and doors, covering the walls with modern heat-containing materials, and installing additional heating. We also plan to repair the shower and decontamination rooms. Safety will be of prime importance for us. We will update the fire suppression system. Moreover, we will cover the basketball field with modern turf,” Svetlana Zatuliveter, press secretary for the Penza region section of the Kuybyshevskaya Railroad, informed PenzaNews agency.

A wide range of recreational activities will be ready for children, she added.

“A special group of events is named ‘That’s My Victory Too.’ The kids will take part in historical quiz shows and competitions, have a wartime song contest, a photo exhibition and a meet-and-greet day with veteran railroad workers. The teenagers will use a computer class equipped with Wi-Fi, laptops, printers, tablets and photocameras,” the speaker said.

The children’s summer camp “Chaika” will hold three seasons that will allow nearly 700 children from the families of Penza, Ulyanovsk and Ruzaevka railroad workers to become healthy and strong by the end of the upcoming school year.

“The price of admission for families of railroad workers is set at 5%, 10%, or 15% of the regular level, depending on the month and the family situation,” Svetlana Zatuliveter pointed out.
