World Bank representatives visit Penza region
Penza, 21 May 2015. PenzaNews. The World Bank experts paid a business visit to the Penza region on Thursday, May 21.
Among them were chief economist Alvaro Gonzalez from Uruguay; expert Ragvir Hemani from Canada; senior economist Sergei Ulatov; senior project management specialist Lyudmila Poznanskaya; as well as deputy head of analytical department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Vladimir Shipunov.
During the visit to the regional government and the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, the World Bank representatives held working meetings on the development of business competition and creation of competition standards.
In particular, Vladimir Shipunov noted high activity in the region in the development of competition and the organization of constructive dialogue with the business community among the regions of the Russian Federation.
According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, the Penza region is 24th among the Russian regions in the rating compiled at the request of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, based on the level of business competition and the intensity of the competitive environment of 2014, the press service of the regional government informs.
