Penza, 23 May 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza city administration head Yuri Krivov took part in an official “Farewell Bell” ceremony held in the school No. 43 early on Saturday, May 23. The principal of the school No. 43 Dmitry Sviridov has died from injuries sustained in a traffic accident several days ago.

The decision to visit the school No. 43 in these tough times was a last-minute decision by Yuri Krivov, who originally planned to attend the ceremony in the school No. 50.

Opening the ceremony, the official expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of Dmitry Sviridov, the school staff and the students.

“A school is a place where everything most dear for the people is preserved from generation to generation, and its principal is the embodiment of everything kept and passed down. Dmitry Vladimirovich [Sviridov] was an incredibly bright man, a true teacher. I believe those who were lucky to get acquainted with him will treasure these memories forever,” said the mayor.

After that, Yuri Krivov addressed the teachers, graduates and their parents.

“We must continue on living and bringing forth our new, beautiful, wonderful generation into life. I congratulate you with crossing a yet another important line and soon meeting the new callings the life has for you in store,” the official added.

The ceremony was followed by a performance prepared by the school students, says the press service of the city administration.
