“The city of Penza is tightly connected to the Russian state security task. Even though the Russian border does not lie along the Penza region, people born here – Andrei Kizhevatov, Alexei Makhalin, Ivan Pushanin and Evgeny Rodionov – became the ideals of border guard that the new men in training aspire to resemble,” the official explained.

He expressed his gratitude to the military men, civil workers and veterans of the Federal Border Service of the Russian Federation for their selfless labor, and wished them sound health, peace, prosperity and successful service to the Motherland, says the city administration press service.
