Penza to host first Roboevolution robotics tournament

Penza, 28 May 2015. PenzaNews. Penza will host its first Roboevolution robotics tournament on May 29-30.
The event will take place in two universities at once.
The Penza State Technological university will hold a Roboquest competition for junior constructors of autonomous robots. Their creations will compete in corridor rally for speed or accuracy; trajectory following; and practical robo-olympics using Lego Mindstorms EV3 and Lego Mindstorms NXT sets.
The Penza State University will organize the Penza-Eurobot competitions among teams preparing for Eurobot Open 2015 distance competition.
The overall winners of Roboquest category will be representing the Penza region at Robofinist international St. Petersburg robotics festival in September 2015, while the Penza-Eurobot competition will serve to assemble a team to represent us in the Russian stage of Eurobot Open 2016 and Eurobot Junior 2016.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education in the Penza region, the upcoming regional tournament is the first time the leading professionals of the children’s and youth skill development center, PSU and PenzGTU join their forces to boost the popularity of robotics.
