Tourism bicycle track “Suvorovsky” to open in Penza region

Penza, 6 June 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region will hold a bicycle rally to open the new tourism bicycle track “Suvorovsky” nearly 150 km long in June 12-14.

Over three days, the racers will go over the picturesque locations of the Bessonovo and Lunino areas and visit various landmarks and events.

They will visit the memorial complex “Pamyat” in Bessonovka village and lay flowers to the monuments of heroes, as well as join the local celebration “No Motherland More Beautiful Than Russia,” on Friday, June 12.

On the same day, the tourists will visit the Ustinov estate in Grabovo and the Christmas Church in Pyrkino, and take part in the children’s celebration “We’re Proud of You, Russia.”

On Saturday, June 13, the cyclists will be able to take part in an event commemorating the 115th anniversary of the Penza region writer Tikhon Semushkin that will be attended by the writers and poets from the land as well as Dmitry Murashkov, research secretary of the Lermontov regional library, who will read a lecture. Moreover, they will open the Sura river boat swimming season and the route itself.

Afterwards, they will head to Suvorovo village and the monument to the well-known commander, with short stops in Lipovka and Bolotnikovo.

The racers will return to Penza on Sunday, June 14.

The organizers invite everyone over 18 with health good enough to endure the route, the tourism office in the Department of Culture and Archive told PenzaNews agency.
