Penza, 6 June 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region traffic accidents decreased over the five months of 2015 by 17.1%, from 767 to 636.

There were 5.3% less deaths (from 76 to 72), 19.1% less injured (1,037 against 839)., and 31% less accidents with children (from 84 to 58) and 60% less those caused by children (25 to 10).

The accidents caused by drunk driving reduced by 4.4%, from 93 to 89.

The pedestrian accidents decreased by 25.7%, from 218 to 162, and the number of deaths in such accidents dropped by 13%, from 23 to 20.

The traffic police received new priority tasks to introduce anti-accident measures to avoid drunk driving, says the press office of the regional branch.
