“We expect to meet the Wargaming.net dev team who will arrive here from Minsk to take part in the event and meet their fans. A World of Tanks developer Konstantin Nikiforov will hold a Q&A session with the players,” the PR manager of Wargaming.net Alexander Mikhalchuk told PenzaNews agency.
He added that the tournament will involve 1,000 “tankmen” and “tank girls” whol will compete in team matches and individuals.
“A crew that wanted to compete in the team matches was required to register and pass the qualification. We organized the matches for teams from Penza and the region, about 20 teams in total. The four strongest crews will compete in the finals, and a well-known CIS streamer from St. Petersburg, nicknamed Vspishka, will be the announcer for the team tournament,” the speaker added.
The tournament will be held using the best-of-5 playoff system, Alexander Mikhalchuk explained.
“The individual matches will be held for all people willing to apply, with no registration needed. We will have 36 PCs at the event for the matches, and all the ‘tankmen’ will be invited to play using the special WoT service accounts – first come, first served,” the PR manager of Wargaming.net explained.
The three best players in the individuals will receive prizes, he said.
“A player can win a bonus card to buy virtual equipment and premiums at our e-store based on how much XP they earn. The event will also have contests and quizzes, as well as a laser tag and a VR section,” the speaker concluded.
