Penza plans to hold contest for best Russia Day celebration photo

Penza, 14 June 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza city administration is discussing a possible contest for the best photo of the celebrations on Russia Day and City Day, the vice-mayor Victor Gvozdev announced in his Twitter on Sunday, June 14.

He also added that the contest for the most original photo may include several categories.
“The web is rife with them [the photos],” Victor Gvozdev wrote.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the celebrations of Russia Day and City Day in Penza began with the opening ceremony of the updated Region Hall of Fame, followed by the official event on Lenina square accompanied by a performance. A festival of NGOs and civil communities “Dobraya Penza” took place on the area by the Regional Drama Theater, while the Sura river embankment saw such events as a raft race, a charity okroshka dinner, a graffiti festival, and a contest for the best pilaf. The day’s celebrations came to closure with a large-scale 3D-mapping show and fireworks.
