Updated Region Hall of Fame opens in Penza

Penza, 12 June 2015. PenzaNews. The official celebrations of Russia Day and Penza City Day on Friday, June 12, began with the opening of the updated Penza Region Hall of Fame in the morning.

The event involved heads of executive and legislative branches of the government, workers of industrial, construction and transportation companies, agrarians, representatives of cultural groups, educational institutions and healthcare bodies, as well as athletes and civil activists.
“It becomes a good tradition to honor the teams and our citizens who bring fame to the Penza region through their labor on this festive day,” said Ivan Belozertsev, acting Penza region governor, addressing the people.
During these tough times, the workers of industry and agriculture still keep up the pace and do all they can to help their industries stay afloat and have the impulse for development, he added.
Ivan Belozertsev expressed his gratitude to all citizens of the Penza region for their hard work, and wished them successes in the future.
The updated Region Hall of Fame includes portraits of twenty industry headline workers and titles of twenty most distinguished companies, including the M.V. Protsenko industrial union “Start,” “Mayak-Technocell,” “PNIEI,” “Kuvaka,” the Penza branch of Rostelecom, “Penzastroy,” and other enterprises.
