Yuri Skachkov reelected as PSUAC principal
Penza, 24 June 2015. PenzaNews. The principal of the Penza State University of Architecture and Construction, professor, honorary worker of higher education of Russia, D. Sc. in Engineering Yuri Skachkov has been reelected in his office for a new five-year term.

The PSUAC principal election committee was held on Tuesday, June 23.
Three candidates ran for the position. Apart from the current principal, it involved the dean of “Engineering Structures” department, docent, D. Sc. in Engineering Nikolai Laskov, and head of Territorial Management faculty, dean of “Cadastral Register and Law” department, professor, D. Sc. in Engineering Oleg Tarakanov.
“The conference involved 112 people, who gave a total of 110 valid votes. Nikolai Laskov received 4 for and 106 against; Yuri Skachkov – 103 for and 7 against; and Oleg Tarakanov – 3 for and 107 against,” Victor Usmanov, first vice-rector and vice rector for research at PSUAC Victor Usmanov informed PenzaNews agency.
Following the conference, the university now needs to collect a set of documents to submit to the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in the nearest future for the appointment.
“The term of the current university principal Yuri Skachkov runs out on July 20,” the speaker clarified.
