Acting governor to allocate nearly 7 mln rubles for roof repairs after freak storm wind

Penza, 25 June 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor reserve fund will provide nearly 7 million rubles for repairs of private houses after a freak storm wind tore roofs off them on Sunday, June 21, the acting governor Ivan Belozertsev announced during his visit to Muratovka village in the Mokshansk area on Wednesday, June 24.

The assistance will be provided to owners of 21 houses in the Mokshansk area and four more in Issa, he clarified.

According to the head of the region, a special committee is currently in the process of establishing the total damages sustained by owners of partially damaged houses who will also receive financial assistance.

Ivan Belozertsev personally met the locals of Muratovka during his trip and answered all their questions.

“Don’t be afraid, we won’t leave you lone. The freak weather aftermath will be cleaned up and people will receive help in the next few days,” he assured.

Ivan Belozertsev instructed the heads of relevant ministries and government bodies to accelerate the repairs through various means, such as by hiring additional repair crews, says the press service of the Penza region government.
