Ivan Belozertsev urges to find means of protecting children from drugs on streets, online

The acting governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev instructed the acting deputy chairman of the regional government Evgeny Troshkin to research a project to develop a software package that would detect drug advertising in public communications services and social networks.
“We must protect our children from the influence of street advertising, both through house wall graffiti and online word-of-mouth,” said the head of the region during an external session of the Penza region drug use prevention committee held in the Nizhny Lomov area on Wednesday, June 24.
Ivan Belozertsev also stressed the importance of ensuring that children are occupied with their favorite hobbies or courses during the summer holidays, and urged the parents to watch their children more closely, especially during trips to water bodies.
As the press service of the Penza region government informed PenzaNews agency, a total of 158 people were hospitalized with drug substances poisoning since the beginning of 2015, including 14 children and teenagers, while two cases of amphetamine poisoning were lethal.
