Night Wolves biker donates Evgeny Rodionov’s picture to Penza museum
Penza, 28 June 2015. PenzaNews. A biker from the famous Night Wolves Russian motorcycle club has donated a picture of the solder Evgeny Rodionov to the Penza Museum of Local Lore on the request of the latter’s mother Lyubov Rodionova.
This will be the second picture of Evgeny Rodionov in the museum’s collection.
According to the press service of the Penza region Department of Culture and Archive, 26 churches in Russia hold the icons with Evgeny Rodionov’s image.
On January 13, 1996, private Evgeny Rodionov was delegated for a half-year service in the Nazran border guard detachment. After a month of service on the gateway between Ingushetiya and Chechnya, he and his three comrades-in-arms, were captured by the rebels. After one hundred days of torture, private Evgeny Rodionov refused to adopt Islam in return for freedom, and was beheaded on May 23.
