Penza investor provides 2 million rubles for “health walkway” repairs
Penza, 30 June 2015. PenzaNews. A private investor has provided 2 million rubles for repairs of the asphalt cover and the installation of landmark sculptures for the so-called “health walkway” – a steep pedestrian road in the woods with benches and exercise zones installed along the way that is a notable element of the Belinsky Central Park in Penza.

300 meters of the walkway have already been paved, the director of the Belinsky park Elena Savelyeva told PenzaNews agency.
“The Urban Construction and Architecture Department of the Penza city administration is developing the project of the entry landmarks for the health walkway. One of them will be installed on the Krasnaya street end, while the other will stay by the ‘Samovarnik’ building, where the walkway ends and the housing sector begins,” the speaker said.
Moreover, Elena Savelyeva added that the Penza road traffic management center will soon install a road sign that allows only construction vehicles to traverse the walkways.
“Currently, the Krasnaya street end of the walkway is open for any cars, and some house owners use it to approach their garages. When the entry landmarks will be installed, we will use the park funds to block it with a boom gate and let in only the construction vehicles: cars from ‘Gorelectroset,’ cleaning vehicles, and fire trucks if necessary,” she explained.
