Bekovo, Sakhzavod apartment buildings go online via Rostelecom FTTB

Penza, 30 June 2015. PenzaNews. Rostelecom has upgraded a section of its network that covers the apartment buildings on Demyana Bednovo and Pervomaiskaya streets of Bekovo, as well as Sovkhoznaya, Neitralnaya and Zavodskaya streets of Sakhzavod village of the Penza region, to the Fiber To The Building (FTTB) technology.
“The advantages of FTTB is high speed, up to 100 Mbps, that allows quick access to websites, multimedia, files and interactive apps,” the press service of the Penza branch of Rostelecom informed PenzaNews agency.
Moreover, as the company added, the newly-available Interactive TV service now allows the residents of these houses to connect several TVs at once to over 200 channels, including those in HD.
“We also plan to connect the Bekovo users with fiber optic connection to our SIP services,” the press service added.
According to Lev Dyatlov, director of the Penza branch of Rostelecom, Bekovo has joined the group of residential areas of the Penza region covered by the fiber optic network.
“We continue to upgrade our communications in other areas of the region. The FTTB coverage in apartment buildings in Kolyshley has been greatly expanded. The next project in the line is Tamala fiber optic network. By upgrading our service quality through construction of modern communications network, we seek to make life as much comfortable for our clients as possible,” he stressed.
The new users may enjoy unlimited plans and money-saving packages, such as “Eternal Summer” action that allows them to pay less for a combination of Home Internet and Interactive TV services every summer.
