Penza, 30 June 2015. PenzaNews. Valery Savin, assistant to the presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District since May 2014, was appointed acting chairman of the Penza region government, the acting governor Ivan Belozertsev announced via Twitter in the evening of Tuesday, June 30.

“Signed decree to appoint Valery Savin acting Penza region gov chairman,” he wrote.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, Valery Savin left his previous office on his own accord. His last day on the previous job was Monday, June 29.

Originally, an anonymous regional government source reported by the end of the day that Valery Savin’s appointment has been confirmed. The former assistant to the presidential envoy declined to comment on the news.
